Zurik
Zurik is a concentrate of metals produced by separators that recognize the presence of a metallic element within a stream of material transported from a conveyor by means of a sensor, and deviate its path by means of a jet of air related to it.
Defined by ISRI's circular, zurik is a combination of shredded nonferrous metals predominantly comprising stainless steel, plus insulated copper wire (ICW), aluminum, copper, lead, magnesium and other metals, accumulated from auto and appliance shredders and generated by downstream computer sensing equipment.
